Breaking Mental Barriers
__Real Athletes Real Results__
SPMI would like to congratulate the following athletes on their recent accomplishments throughout the early part of this year. Their results have been a combination of their hard work, dedicated team, commitment to the SPMI mental toughness program, and passion to strive for greatness.
Congratulations to Norberto Carlos Negron. From one of the most mentally fragile to one of the most mentally tough athletes to train with SPMI. Carlos came to SPMI with a goal of overcoming his mental barriers in pursuit of one day making the United States National Team. Just last month Carlos turned that once goal into reality by making the US Taekwondo National Team. Carlos is on pace to represent his country in the 2016 Summer Olympics for taekwondo. In addition, just last week Carlos competed in the world-renown US Open and placed 3rd in his division.
Congratulations to Brandon Meltzer and Jordan Meltzer. Recently, both professional golfers just had break through tournament wins. Brandon shot a 68 for his second victory on the golfslinger.com tour after recently coming back from a broken wrist to win his first tournament of the year. His twin brother Jordan then fired a personal best 9-under par 63 to win a separate tournament at the Winston Trails Golf Club the following day. In addition, both brothers pre-qualified for the prestigious 2014 Honda Classic with Brandon shooting a 68 and Jordan firing a 67.
Congratulations to George Acosta on his tremendous journey of earning a spot in the United States U-14 Boy's National Team Camp. This honor is only awarded to 37 players in the entire country. George has made tremendous gains through his commitment to restructuring his goals and dedication to SPMI's program. George is also in pursuit of a professional career and with his mental toughness at a new level he has put himself in a great position of reaching this goal.
